Before your session
Where do sessions take place?
We’ll choose a location together in Sylvan Lake or Central Alberta. The Moment and Generations include one location; The Story allows up to two nearby locations, with transfer time included in the 90 minutes. Welcome Home takes place in your home.
What about travel?
Tell me where you’d like your session to take place. We’ll agree on the location and any travel arrangements or additional costs before you confirm your booking.
What should we wear?
Choose comfortable clothes you can move in, in colours you enjoy together. I’m happy to help with ideas. The Story includes time for an optional outfit change.
Can children and newborns take breaks?
Absolutely. Children can pause and reset, and Welcome Home is baby-led, with room for feeding, changing and settling. Parents and siblings are included in your newborn session.
What happens if the weather changes?
For outdoor sessions, I’ll get in touch so we can discuss the conditions and agree on a new time or another suitable arrangement together.
What if our group has more than 12 people?
Generations includes up to 12 people, counting babies and children. Tell me your group size and the combinations you’d like photographed, and I’ll provide a tailored quote for a larger group. The 25+ image minimum is for the shared group gallery.
When and how will we receive our photographs?
Your edited photographs are delivered in a private digital gallery within 14 days of each session. Image counts are minimums, and each appointment in a journey collection receives its own gallery.
How do I book and pay?
Choose a package or select Not sure on the inquiry form. We’ll confirm availability, the date, location and details together before your session is booked. Payment is by e-transfer and no retainer is required. All listed prices are in Canadian dollars and include GST.
How do the journey collections work?
Waiting & Welcome includes maternity and newborn appointments. The First Chapters adds an early pregnancy announcement session. We’ll arrange each date together. You can upgrade either included announcement or maternity appointment to The Story for the listed additional price per session.
